The 4th COMESA Investment Forum will bring together policy makers, business leaders and senior managers from Africa’s most successful companies to unveil new projects and highlight the business potential and opportunities within the Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa’s (COMESA) 19 Member States.
During this 2 day high-level forum, representatives from the COMESA region will showcase their success stories and the business models that have been adopted to maximize the full potential of investments in the region. Participants will discuss ways to contribute to Africa’s long term economic growth through close collaborations between local and foreign investors and the public sector.
The 4th COMESA Investment Forum is spearheaded by COMESA Regional Investment Agency (COMESA RIA), in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
COMESA RIA is the investment arm of COMESA aiming at driving FDI into Africa’s largest economic block that has a population of over 430 million and a combined GDP of over USD 447 Billion. Having successfully launched its Custom Union in 2009, COMESA continues on the road of regional integration by supporting the continuous creation of better investment conditions, making it an increasingly internationally competitive economic community.
Dubai, recognizing COMESA as a unique market, is paving the way to drive investment from all over the world to the COMESA region and beyond by positioning itself as the fundamental hub for trade into and from the region.
COMESA’s Member States include: Burundi, Comoros, DR Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
